7 Days In....

WOW! So I am 7 days into this challenge and I feel great! No really I do! I have lost 8.75 inches and 2.7 lbs.  While that may not seem like a big deal to some of the other major losses for me it is grand.  I do find it funny but I don't mind the taste of the products.  The snacks are weird but they taste ok.  I think maybe because I started eating cleaner in January (no more sodas and no fast food) so maybe my tongue didn't go into shock.  I also started my week a bit differently than the recommended schedule.  No way could I cleanse on the 3rd day, I mean IU was playing! I had to watch the game.  Sadly we lost so maybe I should have on second thought. Not to mention starting a new job on Monday and then there was Easter...... ANYWAY... My cleanse day was yesterday.
SO many asked "how did it go???"  FINE.  Oddly I wasn't hungry all day.  Not until I got home and was ready for bed.  Then my tummy said " Well?  Where's the food?"  I drank a glass of water and went to bed.  I woke up ready to go and as mentioned inches and pounds lighter than a week ago.
I plan to go back to my original schedule of cleansing on Mondays.  I figure it is the best way to recover from any splurging over the weekend.  My goal is to lose weight and inches the right way and make a life style change not go into solitary confinement! :)
I already am used to my shakes and love the energy.  For those who are just starting hang in there, it really does take a day or two to get used to the routine.  Once you do it will be natural. Like they say after ten days it becomes a habit.  This could be a good one!
Chat with you all soon!  Cheers!

Day One-Getting Started

I received my box of goodies yesterday and started today.  After reading, watching videos, asking questions and studying just about everything I could I was ready for my first day.
Shake day!
Many people talked about feeling lethargic or hungry.  So far I feel fine! Maybe because I have been eating pretty clean over the past 2 months.  You see I have been walking marathons for the past 3 years.  5-10K's mostly.  But this year I did a half (13.1 miles!) 3/6.  I about died! I mean if it were not for my Sister that last half mile, I know they would have had to drag me across the finish line.  (note to self... do not do GU until you know how your body will react to it!)  So because I felt I needed to be ready for next year I have signed up for another Half in June.  I will be doing some 5-10K's in the mean time.   I also felt I needed to drop weight to make it easier on my knees and back.  While I have only dropped 4 pounds since January my clothes were not as tight.  So walking away from fast food and colas was a plus but not enough.  In case you are wondering I am 5'7" and 218 lbs.  YIKES! I am actually posting this!!!

My Husband's best friend's wife (is that right?) had been posting about a healthier way to lose weight and feel better.  For over a month I followed these cryptic posts on FB and finally decided to find out what it was all about.  She sent me some information and linked me to the IsAgenix FB page.  Here I found so many people who were successful and happy.  Some still struggling, but committed to the program.  I watched the You Tube videos pro and con, googled info and read all the materials. I felt it was a good plan.  The price was my drawback.  I didn't want to rep product so I went the cheapest route possible.

Now I am committed for 30 days.
This blog will be my journey over the next 30 days at the least.  I will be serious, funny, blunt and honest.  So grab a shake, sit back and lets watch the pounds and inches dissolve together.
Cheers!
